1984 1949 1961 1970 1972 4 LIFA - THE BIRTH OF TECHNICAL BASE LAYER HH’s LIFA® revolutionized the industry with the introduction of the first technical base layers. LIFA® moves moisture away from the body allowing users to stay warm and comfrotable. It has been used by professionals on every ocean, many of the world’s tallest peaks and was included in Outside Magazine’s list of The Most Influential Gear of All Time in 2012. LIFA® remians the cornerstone of what we believe is the best technical base layer available today. INNOVATION SINCE 1877 From our home in Norway, Helly Hansen has been making professional grade gear that helps people stay and feel alive for the last 140 years. In 1877, after many years at sea, Norwegian captain Helly Juell Hansen and his wife, Maren Margarethe, began producing oilskin jackets, trousers, sou’westers and tarpaulins, made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil. Since then, the legacy of Helly Hansen lives on, developing and creating a long list of first-tomarket innovations. HELLY TECH® - THE WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE SOLUTION Helly Tech® waterproof and breathable fabric was launched in the 1980’s, winning awards and setting the new standard for performance and protection. It also provided the final layer for the 1986 introduction of the Helly Hansen 3-Layer System™, an industry - first program educating people on how to dress for the outdoors. Today, Helly Tech® fabrics are engineered to deliver the specific demands of professional skiiers, sailors, and at workplaces around the world. HELOX - THE NEXT EVOLUTION IN WATERPROOF Helox waterproof fabric featured a thin sheet of translucent PVC plastic that was sewn into coats to make them waterproof. It was revolutionary technology that became the must-have protection for outdoor use. With a production of 30,000 coats each month, the success was almost immediate and was used by the Norwegian delegation at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki. FIBERPILE - THE TECHNICAL MIDALYER IS INVENTED Helly Hansen partnered with Norwegian Fiber Pile Inc. And developed the orignal Fiberpile - the first fleece. It featured a high warmth to weight ration and maintained its thermal qualities even when wet, making it a favorite of lumberjacks and outdoor enthusiasts. The concept lives on and the modern version of Propile is still in production today. Helly Hansen launches PVC foam with closed cells for use in life jackets. The foam is the preferred flotation material 30 years later. wachterworkwear.ch

1990 2012 2018 2022 2023 5 PROWOOL - THE PERFECT BLEND OF LIFA® AND MERINO The Prowool (renamed HH Lifa® Merino) base layer for cold weather conditions was launched in the lat 90’s, combining Lifa® Stay Warm Technology™ with Merino wool for both moisture transport and added warmth. Designed for professionals facing the coldest conditions it quickly became the go-to piece for performance, warmth and comfort in extreme environments. H²FLOW™ - A BETTER SOLUTION FOR TEMPERATURE REGULATION Helly Hansen introduced the new H²FLOW™ Technology in 2012 with the H²FLOW™ Jacket, which won an Award for Design Excellence from the Norwegian Design Council. The patented H²FLOW™ Jacket features an airflow venting system and a protective barrier. It allows adventurers to efficiently regulate their body temperature. LIFA® MAX -OUR WARMEST BASE LAYER IN COLD CONDITIONS Helly Hansen introduces its warmest base layer to date by thickening the already tried and tested Lifa® fibers to produce a warmer, lightweight and flexible garment. The enhanced, unrivaled warmth and comfort is why we believe Lifa® Max is the best technical base layer available today. BRZ - Climate Regulating Comfort Helly Hansen Workwear launched BRZ. Designed to deliver climate regulating comfort and versatility, BRZ is a product construction bolstered by lightweight fabric and mechanical ventilation. HH Connect HH CONNECT™ is an interchangeable pocket system that offers end users more flexibility on their product of choice. The solution allows the user to optimize their work, using different pockets for different needs. wachterworkwear.ch

6 SUSTAINABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY We create professional-grade gear to help people stay and feel alive in the harshest environments in the world. Ever since Helly Hansen was founded by sea captain Helly Juell Hansen in 1877, we have developed high-quality gear to protect people at sea and in the mountains, and we have an obligation to protect these environments. After 140+ years in business, we know that long-term success can only be achieved by respecting, protecting and promoting ethical values, human rights and the environment. We are committed to continue advocating for the responsible use and enjoyment of the oceans, mountains and the greater outdoors. By applying a holistic and scientific approach to all our decisions, we strive to ensure our actions support the possibility for people and the planet to thrive. PLANET HEALTH Our planet is facing enormous challenges with climate change, acidification of our oceans, water scarcity, biodiversity, water pollution and more. Helly Hansen knows that as a company, and as an industry, we have a role to play to turn the wheel around towards a positive transformation. We must secure and apply best available technology to reduce our negative impact – and ensure we maintain the highest quality standards and measure our output. RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION Our natural resources are limited, and today we are overconsuming materials and other resources to the extent that humans would need 1,7 globes to support us. We need to bring that down to one-planet consumption by implementing a circular mindset and approach to our products, applying materials with improved environmental profiles. We make sure to never compromise on quality and always strive to make long-lasting products. ENGAGE Through collaboration and communication internally and externally, we see that goals can be met, and targets can be reached. Inspiring and supporting people to get outside exploring nature strengthens the feeling of belonging to our planet, and wanting to protect it. Focus will therefore be on building strong relationships with professional partners, volunteer groups and customers wanting to make a positive impact. LIVELIHOOD & LABOR RIGHTS Helly Hansen has a clear philosophy that close engagements with our partners and long-term relationships lead to greater job satisfaction and the feeling of empowerment amongst the people working within our supply chain. We will continue to work towards proper living wages, workplace safety and protection against discrimination. Focus will be on social programs where dialogue and improvement plans are put into place. wachterworkwear.ch

MIDLAYER PROTECTIVE LAYER BASELAYER 3-LAYER SYSTEM 9 Often referred to as second skin, Helly Hansen base layers are vital to temperature regulation and moisture management in any setting. As you work hard, our LIFA® Technology moves moisture away from the skin, leaving you dry and comfortable. Our current range of base layers are categorized by warmth level, allowing you to select the best fit for your need. DRY. When faced with colder conditions, Helly Hansen thermal midlayers trap warm air from your body to insulate when you need it most. As you warm up, some of our midlayers can ventilate to expel excess heat and like our base layer range, also allow moisture to pass through, keeping you dry and warm for long days on site. Midlayers should always be selected according to the conditions and activity you’re faced with. WARM. The final component to the 3-layer system is an outer, protective outer layer. Using our award-winning Helly Tech® waterproof membrane, we have been able to create a wide range of durable, protective and seam sealed jackets for all-season use. It is important that the outer layer is also breathable, allowing for proper ventilation and moisture management to combat overheating. Depending on the temperature, the outer layer can protect you from wind, rain or snow, making it a vital piece to any collection. SAFE. HELLY HANSEN INTRODUCED THE 3-LAYER SYSTEM TO THE INDUSTRY IN THE EARLY 70S, AND WE’VE BEEN PUSHING IT FORWARD EVER SINCE BY CONSTANTLY IMPLEMENTING NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN OUR GEAR. OUR UNIQUE FLEXIBLE SYSTEM ENABLES YOU TO STAY COMFORTABLE AND PROTECTED WHATEVER WORKING CONDITIONS YOU ARE EXPOSED TO, HEAT OR COLD, RAIN OR SNOW. wachterworkwear.ch

HELLY TECH® DWR TREATED OUTER FABRIC WA TER RE PEL LEN T MEM BRANE WATERPR OOF AND BREAT HABL E FOR MAXIMUM WATERPROOFNESS 10 Helly Tech® is the waterproof and breathable outer layer between you and the elements. Its unique membrane stops water molecules going in, but lets moisture molecules escape. Keeping you dry from the outside and comfortable on the inside. Helly Tech® is actually more than just a fabric – it is a combination of a DWR-treated outer fabric, a highly breathable and waterproof membrane, fully sealed seams and often a highly breathable inner fabric, mesh or lining. The seams of the products are taped over with a waterproof ribbon and glue, preventing any water from entering the small gaps between the stitches of the seams. Helly Tech® is constructed with Polymer Polyurethane (PU ) based membranes and coating technologies. The PU membrane gives softness and stretch to the fabric, while the coating allows waterproofness and breathable qualities. Helly Tech® is made either with Hydrophilic barrier membranes or Micro-porous membranes, depending on the end-use purpose of the fabric. The Hydrophilic barrier works on an osmotic principle, keeping salts from entering and blocking the pores. The Micro-porous PU membranes are hydrophobic- “water hating” polymers. This membrane construction is responsible for the waterproofness of Helly Tech®, making the pores up to 20.000 times smaller than water droplets, while allowing breathability since the pores are up to 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule, allowing the evaporation of sweat and heat. HOW HELLY TECH® WORKS 1. DWR treated outer fabric is windproof and water-repellent 2. Waterproof and breathable membrane or coating 3. Highly breathable inner fabric, mesh or lining WATERPROOF. BREATHABLE. GUARANTEED. wachterworkwear.ch

11 LAB TESTS WATERCOLUMN, ISO811 and JISLISL 1092-B1 Gives the value pressuremmof water held back by fabric. 10.000mm is the same pressure youwould experience diving to 10mor equal to the pressure froma fire hose. BREATHABILITY, JIS L 1099-1985-B1 Gives the value of g/m2/24h - the amount of water molecules that can pass through 1 square meter of fabric within 24 hours. 15.000 grams breathability equals that a jacket is able to pass 30 lites of water in 24 hours. In comparison, our human body perspirates 1 liter per 24 hours. water repellence, ISO 4920: 1981 and AATCC 35-2006 Spray test: testing of the durable water repellence before and after washing, by drizzling the fabric and measure howmany drops that bounce up and if any attaches or wets out the fabric surface. There are numerous types of Helly Tech® Fabrics. The main differentiator is the number of plies (or layers) the fabric is built from. 3 PLY CONSTRUCTION Outer fabric + membrane and inner fabric bonded together for lightweight, quick drying and durability. HIGH ACTIVITY LOW ACTIVITY COLD WEATHER WARM WEATHER LIFA® LIFA® MAX LIFA® MERINO LIFA® ACTIVE HI VIS 12 WARM. DRY. COMFORTABLE. Launched in the early 1970s, LIFA® is based on a yarn technology that has been tested and developed over the years. The key functions of LIFA® deliver both moisture management and insulation, moving moisture away from the skin, while transporting perspiration to the surface of the fabric, where it evaporates. In 2006 LIFA® was combined with non mulsed Merino wool to create the best performing base layer to date. HOW LIFA® WORKS LIFA® stay warm technology moves sweat away from your skin, keeping you warmer for longer LIFA® is an ultra-light weight base layer fabric that works perfectly in the autumn and winter. HH LIFA® delivers light insulation and moisture management through its 100% single layer LIFA® fibers. The LIFA® technology works best when layered under another garment, as the more garments you wear, the further the sweat and moisture will be transported out of the fabric and away from your skin. Professional level performance and moisture management. Our warmest technical base layer with 100% LIFA® fibers. Professional level warmth and moisture management. Versatile, all season comfort featuring supercharged drying next to skin. LIFA® is a hydrophobic fiber that prohibits the absorption of liquid. The LIFA® fibers are used on the first membrane layer of base layer garments, the layer nearest to the skin. When the first yarn layer is combined with an additional layer with hydrophilic (moisture absorbing) properties, the sweat from the body is moved away from the skin and transported to the second layer, where it is absorbed. This enables the consumer to stay warm, dry and comfortable. wachterworkwear.ch

AIR POCKETS WARMER TO KEEP YO U VENTIL ATION SYST EM SMA RT 1 2 15 H²Flow™ allows you to control your body’s temperature. The technology optimizes insulation, using air pockets or holes that store warmth from the body and, at the same time, allows you to control heat and airflow through ventilation zippers, enabling the cold air to enter and the warm air to exit. Negative or positive air space is created by adding or subtracting fabric on the inside of the garment to allow this extra air space to be filled with air heated up by the body. In both cases, the purpose to create pockets of air in strategic areas of the body, trapped in these channels or spaces. The air contained in these pockets heats up from the body heat of the wearer, and keeps you warm. HOW H²FLOW™ WORKS Ventilation zippers let cold air in if you get too warm. Air pockets or holes store warmth from your body, so all H²Flow™ jackets have a high warmth to weight ratio. WARMER. COOLER. DRIER. Helly Hansen jackets with the H²Flow™ technology cools you down 20% faster than competitor jackets without the technology, measured on the same weight and insulation. wachterworkwear.ch

16 Taking care of your Helly Tech® garments are vital to the life of the product. Washing them will remove contaminating substances such as oils, dirt and salt from the surface and restore the surface tension of the fabric, allowing the membrane to perform at its best for years to come. HOW TO WASH YOUR HELLY TECH® GARMENT: HOW TO RE-APPLY YOUR DWR: 1. Make sure you zip up all zippers to avoid any surface damage. 2. Wash your product with warm water as instructed on the care label located on the inside of your garment on the left-hand side in a commercial washing machine. 3. Do not use fabric softener or other detergents that have softening agents, as it will reduce the fabric surface tension and will have a negative effect on the fabric performance. 4. Helly Hansen advises to use a technical washing product and to follow the instructions given by that product. In cases where no technical washing products exist, and you only have the option of normal washing products, Helly Hansen advises to use a liquid washing product with no additives (without perfume, foam or softener). 5. A second rinse cycle with water is preferred to remove any detergents that might be left behind on the surface. It is important to remove excess detergent, as it might affect the performance of the fabric. 6. After washing, you can safely tumble dry your Helly Tech® garment in order to re-activate the DWR treatment. Please always follow the garment care label for drying instructions. 1. Take your garment out of the washing machine and hang it, to allow all excess water to drip off. 2. Make sure all pockets and zippers are closed 3. Read the DWR label from the manufacturer’s instructions and spray the DWR across the front and back of the garment, making sure to cover areas of high wear. Unsure of when it’s time to wash your garment, here are a few signs to look for: • If the water and/or rain droplets no longer bead off the surface of the jacket and start leaving a wet mark, the durable water repellency (DWR) treatment may be worn off or de-activated. • If the breathability does not seem to be on the same level as when you first purchased your Helly Tech® garment, the membrane could be contaminated. • If you need to re-apply a DWR, we recommend doing so after washing and before tumble drying. Each of these classes will provide a different level of visibility, class 3 giving the highest degree. The high visibility class can be achieved with a single garment or a garment combination (e.g., jacket + pant). Fluorescent material Reflective material Class 3 0,80 m² 0,20 m² Class 2 0,50 m² 0,13 m² Class 1 0,14 m² 0,10 m² This standard specifies requirements and test methods for performance of single garments for protection in cool environment (air temperature above -5 °C). The garment can provide a degree of protection for a certain length of time, depending e.g., on the personal constitution and activity, the accompanying clothing and weather. Value 1 = Thermal Resistance, class 1 – 4 (class 4 is the warmest) Value 2 = Air Permeability, class 1 – 3 (class 3 is the most permeable) Value 3 = Thermal Insulation Value, Icler. Mandatory for class 4. Optional for classes 1 – 3. Value 4 = Water penetration (optional), WP The standard specifies test methods and requirements in protective clothing ensembles which are intended to protect against cold (air temperature below -5 °C). The standard is taking into account not only low air temperatures but also humidity and air velocity. Helly Hansen has tested its products according to method B, which means that the Thermal Insulation has been measured for a garment ensemble (jacket + pant or coveralls) with a base layer. The value is representing protection for a wearer performing light or moderate activity. The protection can only be guaranteed if the complete ensemble is worn. Value 1 = Thermal Insulation Value of the Ensemble (with underwear B), Icler Value 2 = Air Permeability, class 1 – 3 (class 3 is the most permeable) Value 3 = Water Penetration (optional), WP The standard specifies requirements and test methods for the performance of materials, seams, and readymade garments for protection against rain, snowflakes, fog and ground humidity. Resistance to Water Penetration and Water Vapour Resistance is tested. Value 1 = Resistance to Water Penetration, class 1 - 4 (class 4 is the best waterproofness). Value 2 = Water Vapour Resistance, class 1 – 4 (class 4 is the highest permeability). Value 3 = Rain Tower Test (optional test of readymade garment), R. wachterworkwear.ch

CE MARKING EN ISO 11611:2015 EN ISO 11612:2015 EN 1149-5:2018 EN 13758-2:2003+A1:2006 IEC 61482-2:2018 EN ISO 14116:2015 21 EN 13034:2005+A1:2009 PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PROTECTION FOR USE IN WELDING AND ALLIED PROCESSES PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AGAINST THE THERMAL HAZARDS OF AN ELECTRIC ARC. This standard specifies minimum basic safety requirements and test methods for protective clothing that are designed to protect the wearers body during welding and allied processes. The standard defines design requirements that would prevent hot/molten materials or sparks getting trapped in pleats, hanging and open pockets or similar. Two-piece garment must be worn together to provide the indicated level of protection. This type of protective clothing is intended to protect the wearer against spatter (small splashes of molten metal), short contact time with flame, radiant heat from an electric arc used for welding and allied processes. The standard is divided into two classes: Class 1: Provides protection for welding techniques with light formation of spatters and drops, such as TIG or MIG (with low current), with lower levels of radiant heat. The material must withstand at least 15 drops of molten metal. Class 2: Provides protection for welding techniques with heavy formation of spatters and drops, such as MAG (with CO2 or mixed gases) or MIG, with higher levels of radiant heat. The material must withstand at least 25 drops of molten metal. This standard specifies methods to test material and garments intended for use in heat- and flame-resistant clothing for workers exposed to electric arcs. Clothing fulfilling this standard ensures that the consequences of workers after the accident, will not be aggravated by the clothing itself. Under the standard IEC 61482-2:2018 there are two test methods: • Open Arc Test Method: EN IEC 61482-1-1:2019, measured in cal/cm2 and expressed as an arc thermal protection value (ATPV), breakopen threshold energy value (EBT) or the incident energy limit (ELIM). The higher the value, the better the protection. • Box Test Method: EN IEC 61482-1-2:2014, measured in kA. It is expressed in either APC 1 (4 kA) or APC 2 (7 kA). APC 2 is the higher level of protection. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PROTECTION AGAINST HEAT AND FLAME PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PROTECTION AGAINST LIQUID CHEMICALS This standard specifies performance requirements for garments made from flexible materials, which are designed to protect the wearer’s body. Standard is to provide minimum performance requirements for clothing to protect against heat and flame, which could be worn for a wide range of end uses. Two-piece garment must be worn together to provide the indicated level of protection. A = Limited flame spread, A1 or A2 (A1 – surface ignition, A2 – edge ignition) B = Convective heat, Level B1 – B3 (B3 is the highest) C = Radiant heat, Level C1 – C4 (C4 is the highest) D = Molten aluminium splash, Level D1 – D3 (D3 is the highest) E = Molten iron splash, Level E1 – E3 (E3 is the highest) F = Contact heat, Level F1 – F3 (F3 is the highest) Garments that are designed to protect against the risk of exposure to molten metal splash by meeting the performance requirements designated by code letters D and E, meet design requirements that would prevent hot/molten materials getting trapped in pleats, hanging and open pockets or similar. This standard the minimum requirements for limited performance chemical protective clothing. It is intended for use in cases of a potential exposure to a light spray, liquid aerosols or low pressure, accidental low volume splashes. In these cases, a complete liquid permeation barrier is not required, and wearers are able to take timely adequate action when their clothing is contaminated. Tested chemicals: - Sulphuric Acid 30% - Sodium Hydroxide 10% - o-Xylene - 1-Butanol Materials has been subjected to the tests below. Results of each test are specified on garment label: A = Fabric ability to repel the chemicals (Class 1-3, highest class 3) B = Chemical ability to penetrate the material (Class 1-3, highest class 3) C = Abrasion resistance (Level 1-6, highest level 6) D = Tear resistance (Level 1-6, highest level 6) E = Tensile strength (Level 1-6, highest level 6) F = Puncture resistance (Level 1-6, highest level 6) PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PROTECTION AGAINST HEAT AND FLAME. LIMITED FLAME SPREAD This standard specifies the performance provide minimum performance requirements for clothing in order to reduce the possibility of the clothing and/or its materials burning when in occasional and brief contact with small flames and thereby, itself constituting a hazard. The standard is divided into three indexes, where index 3 is the highest. Garment approved according to index 1 should not be used next to skin and should only be used together with underwear approved according to index 2 or 3. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING ELECTROSTATIC PROPERTIES. The standard specifies material and design requirements for electrostatic dissipative protective clothing, used as part of a total earthed system, to avoid incendiary discharges. The requirements may not be sufficient in oxygen enriched flammable atmospheres. The material must meet the requirements set out in EN 1149-1 and/or EN 1149-3. This European standard is not applicable for protection against high voltages. SOLAR UV PROTECTIVE PROPERTIES Prolonged exposure of the skin to the sun can produce both short- and longterm skin damage. UVA and UVB radiation can be significantly reduced by proper clothing. The level of protection varies considerably and is dependent on many factors, such as fabric properties and garment design. The protection may be reduced if garment is stretched, wet or sweaty. This UK Rail Industry high visibility clothing standard specifies requirements for protective clothing that must be worn by staff when on the train lineside or on or near the line. It is designed to make the railway workers easily visible to drivers of approaching trains, allowing enough time to give an early audible warning. The RIS-3279-TOM:2019 (former GO-RT 3279) standard is based on the European standard EN ISO 20471, and the garments must at minimum meet the requirements of Class 2, based on a classification system from Class 1 to Class 3. While EN 20471 allows use of three different fluorescent background colours: yellow, orange-red and red, RIS-3279-TOM:2019 standard specifies fluorescent orange colour only. Colour requirements are more precise, in order to limit the colour variance to more luminous and more vibrant orange. 1 2 3 23 EXTENDABLE LEGS 2-WAY STRETCH VS 4-WAY STRETCH 2-WAY MECHANICAL STRETCH Ensuring a perfect fit for the Helly Hansen Workwear pants is more than just for comfort, it’s for safety. If pants are fitted correctly, you minimize the risk of getting caught on something while on site and maximize the life of the products with strategically placed reinforcement fabrics. Additionally, the product will feel more comfortable, as it will enable optimal movement. Most of Helly Hansen Workwear C-sized and D-sized pants can be extended by unpicking a seam at bottom hem How to extend the bottom hem of your HH Workwear pants: If your product has the extendable leg feature, you will find 3 threads on the bottom hem, 2 close together at the nearest bottom, 1 thread above the 2 that holds the additional material. These can either be in a contrast color or in a tonal color. From the inside of the pant, rip the top thread carefully, as to not tear the garment Remove the thread completely and pull the hem to reveal the additional material Stretch can be defined by the possible direction of movement, such as 2-way or 4-way stretch. In a 2-way stretch, the fabric will only move in one direction, crosswise or lengthwise. A 4-way stretch fabric means it can move in both of these directions, allowing for unrestricted movement. Similarly, stretch can be defined by how the fabric is created. Elastane stretch refers to fabrics where elastane thread is part of the structure and the amount of stretch depends on the percentage of elastin within the fabric. Alternatively, when yarn texture is combined in knitting techniques to create a small amount of stretch in an overall fabric, we refer to this as a mechanical stretch. wachterworkwear.ch
